IT Technical Aid (Part Time)

Position Overview

Advancio is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused IT Technical Aid to support our Information Technology team. This role is responsible for providing first-level technical support, assisting with hardware and software troubleshooting, supporting printing operations, and helping maintain IT equipment and infrastructure. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, organized, and capable of resolving routine technical issues while escalating more complex situations when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to internal users regarding hardware, software, and general IT-related issues.
• Identify, document, track, research, and resolve incoming support requests.
• Escalate high-priority or complex technical issues following established procedures.
• Assist with routine systems testing and validation activities.
• Review and support the development of user manuals, procedures, and instructional materials.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot:
  • Desktop and laptop computers
  • Printers and multifunction devices
  • Video display terminals
  • Network cabling and related hardware
• Support operations involving office-grade and high-speed commercial printers.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of IT equipment.
• Assist IT professionals with production support and daily operational tasks.
• Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and issue resolutions.
• Handle and transport office supplies and equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Information Systems or Information Technology environment.
• Experience supporting desktop software installations and configurations.
• Experience operating or supporting high-speed commercial printers is preferred.
• Experience providing technical support and customer service.

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Ability to install and configure desktop applications.
• Understanding of printers, peripherals, and workstation equipment.
• Familiarity with operating systems and common productivity software.
• Ability to follow technical procedures and documentation.
