IT Project Manager, Business Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an IT Project Manager, Business Analyst based in United States.

This role sits within a Technology Project Management Office and combines project leadership with business analysis to deliver high-quality technology solutions.
You will manage multiple technology workstreams from planning and requirements through execution, ensuring deliverables remain on time, within scope, and on budget.
The position serves as a key bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, technology functions, and external partners.
You will translate business and customer needs into clear functional and technical requirements while helping define project roadmaps, success metrics, and implementation plans.
The role also provides visibility into project health through reporting, dashboards, dependency management, risk tracking, and executive-level communication.
You will work across application development, infrastructure, security, platform engineering, and other technology domains in a fast-moving environment.
This is a fully remote opportunity for a collaborative technology professional who can work Eastern Time hours and drive projects from concept through completion.

Accountabilities:

• Plan and manage multiple technology projects, ensuring adherence to agreed budgets, schedules, scope, milestones, and delivery objectives.
• Partner with business and product owners to define functional and technical requirements and communicate priorities clearly to relevant stakeholders.
• Develop executive-level frameworks, current- and future-state roadmaps, process flows, project plans, and supporting documentation.
• Translate business and customer requirements into actionable functional and technical requirements for technology teams.
• Manage intra- and inter-team dependencies, identify blockers and risks, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to resolve issues.
• Work with business owners and stakeholders to define project success metrics, roadmaps, implementation plans, and milestones, and measure progress against agreed outcomes.
• Prioritize technology deliverables and balance business needs, technical constraints, available resources, budget, scope, and timelines.
• Lead and remain accountable for organizational change management within the assigned program domain.
• Establish and execute project communication plans, providing regular status updates and maintaining transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collect, analyze, and summarize project information, trends, risks, and performance data to prepare status reports and executive dashboards.
• Coordinate collaboration across IT PMO, Platform Engineering, Technical Operations, Customer, Applications, Procurement, Finance, Marketing, and other stakeholder groups.
• Lead Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives when applicable.
• Manage external vendors and partners and ensure deliverables remain aligned with project expectations.
• Support and refine project management processes to improve efficiency and consistency in evolving environments.
• Oversee end-to-end planning, including project budgets, resource allocation, dependencies, and execution requirements.
• Anticipate and remove impediments, manage escalations, and make informed tradeoffs to keep projects moving forward.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years of direct project management experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing technology projects involving applications, architecture, infrastructure, security, platform engineering, or related technical environments.
• Strong ability to create project plans with clear goals, objectives, dependencies, milestones, and success criteria in fast-moving environments.
• Experience working with both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies and using fit-for-purpose project management tools.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical architecture documentation and translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Strong leadership and influence-management skills, with the ability to motivate project teams and build trusted relationships across business and technology functions.
• Ability to anticipate risks and impediments, manage escalations, resolve conflicts, and balance business requirements with technical constraints.
• Experience overseeing projects, programs, or initiatives while maintaining consistency with standardized project management processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under time pressure.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and listening skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to a variety of audiences.
• Highly collaborative and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently while partnering effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing budgets, resource planning, project tracking, and end-to-end delivery.
• Experience managing external vendors, partners, and other third-party stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Agile practices, design thinking, strategy frameworks, and technical architecture is preferred.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Wrike, Microsoft Teams, and related project management and collaboration tools.
• Competency with PowerPoint or similar presentation software, Microsoft Excel or equivalent, Microsoft Power BI or similar reporting tools, and Office 365.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Agile certification such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) is preferred.
• Ability to work remotely while maintaining Eastern Time zone working hours.
• Full-time availability, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work as project demands require.
