IT Operations Intern (Green Bay, WI)

Job Summary

Looking to launch your IT career with real-world experience? As an IT Operations Intern, you'll work alongside our Desktop Support and Infrastructure teams to help keep technology running across Nsight's corporate offices, Cellcom retail locations, and community events throughout the summer.

This internship provides hands-on experience supporting end users, deploying and maintaining technology, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with network and physical security systems, and supporting IT operations at Cellcom's CelYOUbration events. You'll gain exposure to multiple areas of IT and Engineering while working with experienced professionals who are committed to helping you learn and grow.

The IT Operations Intern reports to the IT Technical Support Manager and plays an active role in supporting the technologies that power our business and customer experience.

This position is an on-premises position located at our Green Bay office, we do not offer any relocation reimbursements.  

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide front-line technical support for employees by troubleshooting hardware, software, and technology-related issues.
• Assist with the deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
• Support the installation, replacement, and maintenance of network infrastructure, cabling, wireless technologies, and physical security systems.
• Participate in technology projects and operational initiatives alongside Desktop Support and Infrastructure team members.
• Help prepare, deploy, support, and recover technology used at Cellcom's summer CelYOUbration events, including computers, printers, networking equipment, displays, and power solutions.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while managing support requests and communicating effectively with employees and business partners.
• Assist with inventory management, equipment staging, documentation, and technology asset tracking.
• Learn and apply IT best practices, security standards, and operational procedures.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, software installation, and troubleshooting concepts.
• Interest in desktop support, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, or IT operations.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively in both independent and team environments.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to local company locations and summer events.
• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Windows devices and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Familiarity with networking concepts such as IP addressing, Wi-Fi, switches, or cabling.
• Previous customer service, technology support, or help desk experience.
• Participation in technical coursework, student organizations, home labs, certifications, or technology-related projects.
