Inventory Specialist

Key Details:
Position Title:  Materials Specialist
Duration: 12 Months + (Possible Extension)
Pay Rate: $33 - $35 /hr on W2
Location: Cayce, SC

Role Overview

• Responsible for inventory management and material operations in an office-based environment.
• Will work closely with Planners, Stores, and other internal teams.
• Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day.
• Start time can be flexible between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM.
• There may be limited travel, but travel is not a major part of the role.
• Industry background is not a barrier; candidates with strong, transferable inventory/materials experience can be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain new items/materials in SAP.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory activities.
• Perform cycle counts, particularly around the end of the month.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Work closely with the Stores team on material and inventory activities.
• Support and collaborate with Planners and other stakeholders.
• Interact with different teams and people throughout the organization.

Systems

• SAP – important
• Maximo – nice to have, but NOT a must-have.

Ideal Candidate

• Hands-on inventory/materials management experience.
• Experience with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, discrepancies, and item/material setup.
• Comfortable working with SAP or similar inventory systems.
• Strong communication skills and comfortable interacting with multiple teams.
• Able to work independently in an office environment while collaborating closely with Stores and Planning.
