We are hiring for an Inventory Control Associate

Job Summary

The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods in a USDA-regulated food processing environment. This role supports production, warehouse, and shipping operations by ensuring inventory accuracy, proper rotation, and compliance with food safety and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory systems and manual counts
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and full physical inventories
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances
Track product movement, lot numbers, dates, and locations
Ensure proper product rotation (FIFO/FEFO)
Verify inventory accuracy for inbound and outbound shipments
Coordinate with warehouse, production, QA, and shipping teams
Assist with USDA, QA, and internal audits related to inventory
Ensure inventory areas meet food safety, sanitation, and safety standards
Prepare inventory reports and documentation as required
Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and USDA requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
1–3 years of inventory control or warehouse experience preferred
Experience in food manufacturing, poultry, or refrigerated environments preferred
Basic computer skills (inventory systems, spreadsheets, email)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work in cold environments and around raw poultry products

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work in refrigerated or freezer environments
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed

Work Environment

USDA-regulated poultry processing facility
Cold, wet, and fast-paced environment
Required use of PPE and adherence to sanitation protocols

Preferred Skills

Experience with ERP or inventory management systems
Knowledge of FIFO/FEFO inventory methods
Forklift certification or experience

 
Qualifications:
