Evaluation Period: Annual performance evaluations if the student works the entire academic year. If the student works one semester, the performance evaluation will be completed after that semester

Purpose: To help run a smooth intramural program. Responsible for providing an atmosphere of fun in a competitive, yet safe, environment. Must be able to implement Intramural Sports policies and playing rules in order to maintain an appropriate level of control, fairness, and safety. They should maintain a positive attitude on-site and should always be striving to improve their officiating skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Officiate recreation events
Assists with day-to-day operations of the Intramural program which includes, but is not limited to: scorekeeper, referee, timer, ball chaser, and line judge
Working knowledge of the rules to all major sports
Enforce all University, facility/program policies, rules, and regulations
Maintain all equipment and ensure proper use
Assist with pre and post-game logistics
Other duties as assigned

 
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled student at Mount St. Joseph University
Work Study eligible preferred
Ability to work on own initiative, independently, and to deadlines
Well organized, punctual, and reliable
The ability to communicate sensitively and tactfully, both orally and in writing, with individuals at all levels within the University
lifting up to 15 lbs.
