Interventional Pain Physician MD/DO
Job Description:
Compass Palliative Care, a leading California-based palliative care provider, is seeking an experienced Interventional Pain Physician (MD/DO) to provide pain management services in an outpatient pain clinic. The physician will primarily perform fluoroscopy-guided interventional pain procedures.
We are pleased to offer a flexible part-time schedule of 1 day per week.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic pain
- Perform fluoroscopy-guided interventional pain procedures
- Develop treatment plans, provide follow-up care, and educate patients
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure quality patient care
Requirements:
- MD or DO with training in Interventional Pain, PM&R, Anesthesiology, or a related specialty
- Active and unrestricted California medical license
- Active DEA license
- Experience performing fluoroscopy-guided pain procedures
- Current certification/qualification to perform fluoroscopy-guided procedures
- Interventional Pain fellowship preferred
Job Type: 1099 Contract, Part-Time
Schedule: 1 day per week
Work Location: Clinic Setting
Unlike hospice care that begins once treatment has ended, palliative care can begin when the patient is diagnosed or at any time the patient feels they may benefit from services offered by Compass Palliative Care.
Some examples of common illnesses include: • Cancer • Heart Disease/CHF • Respiratory Disease/COPD • Renal Disease/Failure (CKD)
We provide our patients with a comprehensive treatment plan for pain and symptom management to increase quality of life, relieve stress, and reduce emergency room visits/hospital admissions.
Our specially trained care team provides a comprehensive and cohesive approach to managing your symptoms while your doctors focus on treatment.
Our care team includes: • Medical Director (Physician) • Nurse Practitioner • Medical Social Worker Compass Palliative Care can take place wherever the patient calls home.
In addition to your dedicated Nurse Practitioner, we have a nurse on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to guide you and your loved ones through your healthcare journey.
