Internship - Financial Services Operations (Year-Round)

About the Role: 

Baird’s Operations Department (“Ops”) is the best kept secret in the financial services industry and plays a critical role to the success and growth or the firm.  We partner with the different business and functions within Baird with the goal of driving efficiencies and reducing risk to the firm. Interns have the opportunity to gain experience working with operations systems and technology and contribute to team goals and influence client experience. Internship opportunities are available across several specialized teams including Client Account Support, Client Reporting, Enterprise Initiativesand Product Support. 

This internship requires working full time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday and work part time during the school semesters, 15-20 hours per week, in our downtown Milwaukee, WI office. We are seeking a local student who can start in May/June 2027. 

The Impact You’ll Make: 

• Support the team with daily branch office inquiries (email/phone) and with recurring team tasks 

• Collaborate across the firm to help ensure highly efficient customer service 

• Partner with team members to find enhancements and streamline current process 

• Work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment 

• Receive firsthand mentoring and training 

What You’ll Bring to Baird: 

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree 

• Anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively as a team player 

• Positive attitude, proactive in seeking additional work and strong initiative 

• Detail oriented and exhibits organizational, time management and problem-solving skills 

• Strong client service, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
