Description

HOLT CAT is looking for a College Intern to work with our Machine Service team and will be under the direct guidance of an experienced Shop Service Supervisor to receive on-the-job training. The intern's primary purpose is to learn and develop an understanding of the overall CAT Service Department.

Essential Functions

• Receive coaching, mentoring, and feedback from leadership
• Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
• Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Basic computer skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Basic math calculations and the ability to read, write, and understand work instructions

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Currently enrolled in a College or technical school program pursuing Diesel Technology, Ag Mechanics, or related.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None 

Travel:

• No travel is expected for this position

Physical Requirements: 

• This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

Work Environment: 

• Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
