We are a nonprofit continuing care retirement community serving older adults in the Chapel Hill area. Our IT team supports hundreds of employees and residents across multiple levels of care, providing the technology that keeps our organization operating every day.

This internship is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional enterprise IT environment while working alongside experienced IT professionals.

What You'll Do

As an IT Intern, you'll work on meaningful projects and day-to-day technology operations, including:

Provide technical support to employees and end users
Configure and deploy Windows computers and mobile devices
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software
Assist with Microsoft 365 administration
Support user accounts, passwords, and access requests
Help maintain printers, workstations, and other IT equipment
Document procedures and technical solutions
Assist with technology improvement projects
Learn how enterprise IT supports healthcare and business operations

Depending on your interests and experience, you may also have opportunities to assist with:

Microsoft 365 and SharePoint
Network infrastructure
Cybersecurity best practices
Systems administration
Automation and process improvement

IT asset management

 
Qualifications: We're looking for someone who is:

Currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field
Curious and eager to learn
Dependable and professional
Friendly and comfortable helping people with technology
Able to troubleshoot problems logically
A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team

Previous IT work experience is not required. We value a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and strong customer service skills.
