Job and Ideal Candidate: 

We are looking for an outstanding candidate to join our clinical team. Our diverse team includes full-time clinical MAs who are applying to graduate schools like pre-med and pre-PA programs, as well as passionate career MAs who love caring for patients like family. We are excited to welcome part-time clinical team members who want to support our team and patients.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

Intake MA 

Escorts patients to exam room, takes detailed medical history, documents medications, and confirms reason for visit. Takes vitals as needed. Documents appropriately in the electronic medical record (EMR). 

Communicates patient reason for visit and medical summary to medical providers accurately and efficiently in preparation for exam. 

As directed, may speak with patients over the phone regarding biopsy results, medication prior authorization status, and other patient questions and concerns. Documents calls and prior authorizations in the EMR. 

Other duties as assigned, including clinic maintenance tasks (drawing up medications as directed, instrument sterilization and processing, etc.) 

Qualifications:

Proven track record of working well on teams and delivering excellence. 

Excellent verbal and written skills required. Customer service experience a plus.

Schedule: 
This is a part-time position based on clinic need. Hours will fall within business hours Monday to Friday, with opportunities for Saturdays. You will work across multiple offices (Colorado Springs, Castle Rock, Canon City, Woodland Park, and Pueblo) 

Reviews: 

Vanguard Skin Specialists believes in providing regular feedback and encouraging professional development. Your first check in with HR will be approximately 90 days from your date of hire. Written annual reviews take place each fall. For individuals with <6 months of tenure by fall review but >6 months tenure at spring review, then the initial review will take place in the spring review.  

The practice promotes from within, which provides opportunity for growth and advancement. 
 

Compensation & Benefits: 

Compensation is $19 per hour with eligibility for overtime and paid time off accrued based on hours worked. This positions also includes employee discounts on products and aesthetic services. 

Physical Working Conditions: 

Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for up to 10 hours 

Must be able to lift up to 25-50 pounds 

Operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, printer, copier, scanner, or fax 

Be able to communicate accurately, effectively and frequently 

Can identify color on the computer and software used
