Work Schedule:

M-F: 8 am-4:30 pm EST (30-minute lunch) or 8 am-5 pm EST (1 hour lunch)

Job Summary:

What You Will Do:

• Independently create standard invoices and attach required supporting documents following established SOPs, checklists, and data entry standards.

• Identify rule-based exceptions such as input errors or missing documentation. Correct obvious clerical errors within tightly defined policies and clearly document and escalate missing documentation, contractual ambiguity, or high-value/complex exceptions to a Level 2/3 biller or supervisor.

• Respond to basic customer and branch requests regarding billing paperwork. Learn which departments handle specific issues to route inquiries appropriately.

• Utilize ERP systems, document management tools, email, and entry-level spreadsheets to process low-risk transactions and manage daily workflows.

• Meet defined turnaround times for standard transactions (SLAs) and comply with team-defined productivity targets while maintaining high invoice accuracy.

• Maintain strict confidentiality awareness, recognize sensitive information, and follow disclosure rules and protocols.

• Establish and maintain professional working relationships with customers and others involved in the billing process. Must be able to recognize confidentiality issues and protect such information from inappropriate disclosure.

• Employees will also perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by their immediate supervisor or manager.

What You Need to Succeed:

• 0 years of billing, finance, or administrative experience required (internships or related clerical roles are acceptable).

• Ability to obtain a Connecticut Notary License/Certificate required.

• Basic computer literacy, including entry-level spreadsheet skills, email management, and the ability to learn basic ERP system navigation and document management tools.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow checklists and SOPs to prevent repeated mistakes and reduce routine rework.

• Clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication with customers, peers, branch staff, and supervisors

• Basic awareness of common customer billing rules and an understanding of billing's role in revenue collection, cash flow, and customer satisfaction. Understands the cost of errors and the importance of proper escalation paths.

• Receptive to feedback, proactive in asking and clarifying questions, and cooperative with colleagues to resolve routine issues. Dependable in meeting assigned activities with timely follow-through.

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.  

• The expected Base Hourly Range: $35,300 to $50,000.  The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
