Inserter

Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for having a direct effect on meeting deadlines, quality of product and accuracy while producing the Daily Sun newspaper and commercial work. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

• Manually shuffle and load newspapers into inserting machine.
• Catch, strap and stack bundles coming off the inserting machine or press line.
• Separate the lead sheets for distribution to carriers.
• Relocate skids while operating a manual or electric pallet jack.
• Cut printed tabs to correct size.
• Assist in scale counting of newspapers.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of facility.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one (1) to three (3) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to meet deadlines with exceptional attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Ability to operate power industrial equipment and/or pallet jack.
