Job Summary:

At Forj Medical we have reimagined how we engage college students. Starting in 2020, we developed the Re-Imagined Student Experience Program (RISE Program) which offers year-round internship experiences, in a variety of disciplines to enhance your education and provide hands-on work experience to help launch your career in the medical device field. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Technology Inventory and Documentation

• Conduct physical inventories of computer systems and technology assets across multiple facilities.
• Identify and document system locations, ownership, business purpose, and operational requirements.
• Work directly with employees, supervisors, engineers, and manufacturing personnel to gather information and verify inventory records.
• Maintain accurate asset documentation and tracking records.
• Assist with technology lifecycle management and modernization initiatives.

Hardware Deployment and Refresh Activities

• Assist with deployment of new thin client devices and related hardware throughout manufacturing environments.
• Support workstation replacement and refresh projects.
• Verify equipment installation, configuration, and functionality.
• Document completed deployments and maintain accurate project records.
• Provide basic troubleshooting assistance during deployment activities.

Technology Modernization Projects

• Support large-scale workstation replacement and standardization initiatives across multiple locations.
• Assist with identifying system owners and coordinating deployment activities.
• Help schedule and communicate project activities with impacted departments.
• Track project progress, inventory status, and deployment readiness.
• Perform hands-on setup, installation, and relocation of computer equipment.

Asset Recovery and Facilities Support

• Assist with inventorying, organizing, and properly disposing of retired technology equipment.
• Support facility cleanup and equipment consolidation efforts.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for surplus and retired assets.
• Assist with organization of storage areas and technology staging locations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, a degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Technology, Business Technology, or a related discipline.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and Microsoft Windows.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Available 20 hours/week preferred
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Previous customer service, retail, manufacturing, or technical support experience preferred
• Experience working with computer hardware and software preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications preferred
• Interest in IT infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, or technology project management preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to move throughout office, manufacturing, warehouse, and laboratory environments.
• Ability to lift, move, and install computer equipment, monitors, and related peripherals.
• Ability to travel between company facilities as needed (within Twin Cities Metro area).
