Summary
The extern will assist various IT teams with first-level issue resolution, project support, and PC troubleshooting. They are also responsible for setting up and installing PCs and software while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Job Description
In a learning environment and under close supervision assists various IT teams with first level issue resolution and works in a supporting role on projects in areas including service center, networking, interfaces, server administration, biomedical engineering, database management, data analysis, cyber security, scripting/development, endpoint lifecycle management, and a wide array of applications. Participates in quality assessment and continuous quality improvement activities. Complies with all appropriate safety and infection control standards. Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a courteous and customer-focused manner according to the Hurley Family Standards of Behavior. Works under the close supervision of IT Director or designee who reviews work to ensure effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the designated IT team to assist with departmental projects.
- Performs PC troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve common problems.
- Setup and install PCs and required software.
- Provides assistance to IT teams to resolve or assist in the resolution of problems.
- Performs other related duties as assigned. Utilizes new improvements and/or technologies that relate to job assignment.
