Part-Time | $18/hour to start, $20 after your first year | Paid training begins October 8, 2026

What we do saves lives. Drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1 to 4, and every child who learns to swim with us is safer in the water for the rest of their life. When you teach here, that's the work you're doing.

You won't do it alone. Our instructors work side by side on the deck every shift, backed by supervisors and training managers who want you to succeed. And you'll get to see the best part of this job up close: a nervous 3-year-old putting her face in the water for the first time, or a parent watching their child swim across the pool on their own.

You don't need to be a swimmer to apply. Some of our best instructors are teachers, coaches, and people who just love working with kids. If you want a job that makes a difference, we'll teach you the rest.

WHAT WE OFFER

• $18/hour to start, with a $0.50 raise every three months in your first year. That's $20/hour after your first year

• Two weeks of paid training.

• Consistent weekly hours.

• Paid quarterly trainings, where we continuously improve our curriculum and share best practices.

• Quarterly team-building events.

SHIFTS

We have mornings, afternoons, and weekends, so you can build a schedule around school, college, or family:

• Weekday mornings: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 12:00pm

• Weekday afternoons: Monday – Friday, 2:45pm – 7:00pm

• Weekends: Saturday & Sunday, 9:00am – 1:30pm

ROOM TO GROW

A lot of the people leading our team today started as instructors. The path looks like this: Swim Instructor, Senior Instructor, Deck Supervisor, Intro to EVO Coach, and from there, coaching opportunities with Evolution Racing Club, our competitive team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Teach small-group lessons, from 2-year-olds to kids working on stroke technique

• Teach Parent & Me lessons for infants 3 to 24 months old. A parent is always in the water with their child during these lessons.

• Keep every swimmer safe with constant, active supervision

• Make lessons fun and celebrate progress

• Adjust to each child, especially the nervous ones

• Keep parents updated on how their swimmer is doing

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 16 or older

• Enjoys working with young children

• Patient, positive, and dependable

• Comfortable in the water

• Available to start training October 8

Experience teaching, coaching, or working with kids is a plus.
