Position Purpose: 

The Individual Giving Manager advances Habitat's individual giving strategy by leading the growth and management of the Builders Circle ($1,000+ annual donors) and monthly giving program (The Crew). This role is responsible for acquiring, retaining, upgrading, and stewarding donors through personalized engagement strategies that increase donor loyalty, lifetime value, and sustainable philanthropic support.

Working closely with the Director of Leadership Giving, the Individual Giving Manager manages a portfolio of donors and prospects with responsibility for achieving annual fundraising goals.  The position also supports the organization's major gifts pipeline by identifying and qualifying donors with the capacity and inclination for deeper investment.  Through relationship building, data-informed decision making, and strategic stewardship, this role strengthens the donor experience and contributes to Habitat's long-term fundraising growth.

Essential Functions 

Mid-Level Giving Portfolio Management & Fundraising

In partnership with the Director of Leadership Giving, develop and implement strategies to grow the Builders Circle, with a focus on donor acquisition, retention, upgrades, and increased philanthropic support.
Manage a portfolio of Builders Circle donors and prospects, executing personalized cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and recognition plans to achieve annual fundraising goals.
Develop and implement donor outreach strategies that deepen relationships, increase engagement, and encourage renewed and increased giving.
Collaborate with development, communications, volunteer engagement, and program staff to create meaningful donor experiences and ensure a seamless donor journey.

Major Gifts Pipeline Support

Identify and qualify mid-level donors with major gift potential through analysis of giving history, engagement patterns, capacity indicators, and relationship insights.
Collaborate with the Director of Leadership Giving and Major Gifts team to develop qualification strategies, recommend prospects, and facilitate effective donor transitions.
Conduct and coordinate prospect research, including donor capacity, affinity, and engagement analysis, to support portfolio development and fundraising strategy.

Donor Stewardship & Engagement

Lead stewardship efforts for Builders Circle and monthly donors through timely acknowledgments, personalized communications, impact reporting, and recognition opportunities.
Conduct donor outreach through calls, meetings, site visits, and other engagement opportunities to strengthen relationships and advance donors along the giving continuum.
Partner with cross-functional teams to connect donors with meaningful volunteer, event, and mission-focused experiences that deepen their connection to Habitat's work.

Strategy, Data & Project Management

Utilize Salesforce and other fundraising tools to manage donor portfolios, document engagement activities, and track donor movement through the giving pipeline.
Monitor and analyze donor and program performance metrics, including retention, upgrades, renewal rates, portfolio growth, and revenue attainment, and recommend strategy adjustments as needed.
Develop donor segmentation strategies, giving forecasts, and action plans that support annual fundraising goals and long-term growth.
Prepare reports, monitor dashboards, and provide performance updates to inform fundraising strategy and leadership decision-making.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities  

3-5 years of progressive fundraising or development experience, including success in annual, mid-level, leadership giving, or donor relationship management.
Demonstrated ability to cultivate, solicit, steward, and grow a donor portfolio, with a track record of increasing donor engagement, retention, and philanthropic investment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build meaningful, donor-centered relationships.
Experience using donor databases and CRM systems to manage portfolios, track donor activity, analyze giving trends, and inform fundraising strategies; Salesforce experience preferred.
Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and translate data into action.
Collaborative, detail-oriented, and mission-driven, with experience working across teams to support fundraising initiatives, events, and donor engagement opportunities.
Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant fundraising experience.

Qualifications: Work Environment 

This position requires working primarily indoors in an office setting, with occasional driving between locations within the affiliate’s service area as needed.

Ability to work in an office environment, which requires the ability to speak, hear, with the visual and manual dexterity to manage papers, reports, and typing/ten-key. Must embody the capacity to maintain the following for several hours at a time: use of a personal computer or similar technology, phone, sitting as required 

Ability to read documents and correspondence 

Ability to communicate in person, over the phone and/or via computer 

Lift, move and set up onboarding materials or other special employee events materials, which include but is not limited to lifting up to 20lbs unassisted, stooping, kneeling, bending with the visual and manual dexterity to manage cords, connections, and other equipment
