IC Event Custodial

As an Event Custodial Services Technician at IC Arena, you will ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests by maintaining facility cleanliness before, during, and after events. 

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of public and back-of-house spaces including restrooms, hallways, locker rooms, offices, and common areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure cleanliness standards are met throughout the event.
• Operate custodial equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, buffers, and other tools as needed.
• Perform floor care including scrubbing, stripping, buffing, and polishing in designated areas.
• Wash walls, ceilings, floors, windows, and furniture per event or seasonal needs.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas following proper procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of facility grounds including entrances, sidewalks, parking lots, and outdoor spaces.
• Restock utility closets and maintain inventory of custodial supplies and tools.
• Follow safety protocols and wear protective equipment when using chemicals and operating machinery.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, and crouch for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Prior custodial or facility maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as dictated by event schedule. 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move or manipulate up to 25 pounds. 
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, and crouch for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in environments that may be hot, cold, humid, or noisy depending on event and location.
