What Will You Do?

Are you a college student passionate about Human Resources and eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic corporate environment? Federated is seeking a motivated and curious HR Intern to join our team for Summer 2027. This internship offers a unique opportunity to explore the many facets of Human Resources through job shadowing, project work, and professional development.

What You’ll Experience:

As an HR Intern at Federated, you’ll rotate through various areas of our HR department, gaining exposure to:

• Employee benefits and wellness programs
• Leave administration and workers’ compensation
• Talent acquisition and recruiting strategies
• Employee relations and engagement initiatives
• HR systems and data management (HRIS)
• Special projects and cross-functional collaboration

You’ll work alongside experienced HR professionals, contribute to real-world tasks, and participate in team meetings and trainings. By the end of your internship, you’ll deliver a presentation to HR leadership summarizing your experience and key takeaways.

What We’re Looking For:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Graduating with your undergraduate degree between November 2027 and June 2028
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
• Professionalism and a customer-focused mindset

Federated Insurance is seeking a full-time Human Resources intern in our Owatonna, MN office. This paid internship will start on Monday, June 7th, 2027 and end on Wednesday, August 18th, 2027. Pay for this internship is $24.50 per hour.
