We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our HR team at our Milan, IL headquarters. This paid internship is designed for a student or recent graduate who wants hands-on experience supporting the people and day-to-day operations of a growing business.

The intern will work alongside the HR team on recruiting, onboarding, employee communications, records, and special projects. You’ll gain exposure to how HR partners with leaders and employees across our distribution, manufacturing, and office teams.

Pay: $19.23/hour

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with posting jobs, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates
Help prepare for new-hire orientation and onboarding
Support employee engagement initiatives, events, and internal communications
Assist with maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation
Help update job descriptions, forms, training materials, and HR resources
Support the coordination of performance reviews and other employee programs
Gather information and prepare reports for HR projects
Research HR practices and suggest improvements to existing processes
Work with HR and department leaders to understand staffing and operational needs
Handle employee and candidate information with discretion
Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned

Qualifications: Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field
Interest in pursuing a career in human resources
Previous office, customer service, or administrative experience preferred but not required

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organization and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Comfortable using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly

Ability to work independently and collaborate with employees and leaders across departments
Interest in learning about recruiting, employee relations, compliance, and HR operations
