The Opportunity

• Under minimal supervision, manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
• Must have a good understanding of working across other business partner teams for resolution of complex issues.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
• Provide day-to-day performance management guidance/training to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
• Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
• Act as Employee Relations advisor regarding Employee Assistant Program (EAP) referral, suspected impairment, disability accommodation, discrimination, retaliation, union activity, separation, severance agreements, etc.
• Manage and monitor quarterly and annual performance evaluation cycles.
• Provide leadership and review work of HRBP I.
• Work closely with management, employees, and partners to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
• Act as a change agent, helping leaders and employees navigate through organizational transformations and shifts in business strategy.
• May manage department wide Human Resources project(s)/process(es) that promote a positive workplace culture and improve overall employee experience.
• Design, track, and analyze HR metrics (e.g., turnover, headcount, engagement, retention, wellness) and propose recommendations (e.g., systems and programs) to improve organizational effectiveness or objectives such as employer-of-choice.   
• Support workforce reporting, turnover analysis, and engagement survey initiatives.
• Partner with People Operations Managers, payroll, HRIS, Compensation and Benefit functions as needed to provide solutions for clients.
• Lead projects to address process improvement work.
• First level of response for all compensation-related questions submitted by leaders and staff and collaborate with Total Rewards to address compensation-related issues.
• Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
• In partnership with Legal, assist international employees with VISA assignments and related HR matters.
• In partnership with Total Rewards, provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
• Collaborate with HR Manager and HR Compliance Manager to draft and recommend policies for Employee Handbooks, FAQ sheets, and practice-specific procedures. Periodically audit Employee Handbook policies, procedures and practices for compliance with federal and state laws.
• Manage and oversee audits for client group.
• Manage HCM transactional entries, troubleshoot complex transactions, and serve as an HCM subject matter expert.
• Utilize HR metrics to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Presenting data findings to managers to inform decision-making.
• Facilitate workshops or training sessions on topics like leadership, compliance, or DEI.

Required Experience and Competencies

• 8+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience required.
• 4+ years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Behavioral Science, Human Resources Management, or equivalent required.
• Experience in a healthcare industry preferred.
• Experience working in a multi-state organization preferred.
• Human Resources certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of employee relations, conflict resolution, compensation and internal complaint investigations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
• Working knowledge of Human Resources policies, procedures, compliance and practices.
• Working knowledge in developing, executing and maintaining Human Resources projects and programs.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook and Excel).
• Working knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
• Excellent decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a courteous and professional demeanor.
• Exceptional customer service skills: interpersonal and communication skills to effectively support employees and leadership.
• Excellent ability to investigate and research laws and regulations and to develop implementation and messaging plans.

We are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $85,170 - $106,465 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual corporate Success Sharing bonus program, which is based on the company’s annual performance. If you are hired at Vituity, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience.
