About This Role 

San Francisco Ballet's Human Resources team is seeking an experienced, project-minded HR professional for a three-month temporary assignment, with the possibility of extension. This is a focused, hands-on role for someone who can step into work already in motion, quickly get organized, and keep important priorities moving forward. 

Recruitment will make up the majority of the role, with ownership of an active pipeline of open positions and responsibility for keeping candidates, hiring managers, and searches moving smoothly. The role will also support several defined HR technology, training, safety, and compliance projects currently underway. 

This is a great fit for an experienced HR professional who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and getting things across the finish line. You'll have clear priorities, regular partnership with the Director of Human Resources, and an intentionally focused scope designed for a successful short-term assignment. 

What You'll Do 

Recruitment  

Manage a full slate of open requisitions, including candidate pipeline management, interview scheduling, and hiring manager communication. 

Keep active searches moving without interruption to candidates or hiring managers, flagging any at risk of delay. 

Maintain applicant tracking records and keep recruitment files complete and audit-ready. 

Continue streamlining and optimizing the recruitment tracking process. Refining workflows, templates, and reporting so requisition status stays current and visible with minimal manual upkeep. 

Project Support 

Support the JIRA HR Hub / HR Service Management rollout. 

Support the Paycom LMS / Compliance Training rollout. 

Contribute to ongoing Safety Team / Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) work. 

Support School Safety & Compliance Tracking initiatives. 

Route any employee relations or compliance-sensitive matters to the Director of Human Resources rather than resolving independently. 

Qualifications: What to Expect 

Regular check-ins with the Director of Human Resources on priorities and workload. 

A collaborative HR team environment. 

A scope that's intentionally focused. This role is centered on recruitment and the projects above, with any expansion discussed with the Director of Human Resources. 

What You'll Bring 

Prior HR experience, including full-cycle recruitment. 

Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple requisitions and project workstreams while keeping stakeholders informed and work moving forward. 

Required: hands-on Jira experience, including workflow mapping, configuration or implementation support, testing, and quality assurance. Experience with Jira Service Management or an HR service-delivery environment is strongly preferred. 

Required: hands-on Paycom experience, including experience supporting module implementation, configuration, workflow mapping, testing, and/or quality assurance. This role will help review and test modules already in development, identify gaps or issues, and support readiness for rollout. 

Strong attention to detail and a systems mindset, with the ability to translate HR processes into workflows, test configurations against intended requirements, document issues, and follow through on resolution. 

Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential personnel and candidate information.
