HR Business Partner - Hospice

IMPORTANT LOCATION REQUIREMENT:

This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in Michigan. Due to the nature of our healthcare operations, this role requires the ability to travel to The Care Team branch locations throughout Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois as business needs arise.

The Care Team is seeking an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support leaders and employees across our growing organization. This is an opportunity for an HR professional who wants to move beyond transactional HR and serve as a trusted partner to leadership while directly influencing employee experience, retention, and organizational success.

As an HR Business Partner, you'll work closely with regional and branch leaders to navigate employee relations, performance management, compliance, organizational change, and workforce challenges. You'll have the autonomy to manage your region while partnering with HR leadership and Centers of Excellence to develop practical solutions that support both our employees and the business.

Position Details

• Remote Position – Must Reside in Michigan

• Full-Time | Exempt

• Travel to Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois branches locations as business needs require

Qualifications:  

What You'll Do

• Serve as a trusted HR partner to regional and branch leadership, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, workforce challenges, and organizational needs.

• Lead and support employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective actions, performance concerns, conflict resolution, and terminations while promoting fair and consistent practices.

• Partner with leaders and HR Centers of Excellence to support organizational growth, employee retention, workforce initiatives, and integration associated with expansion and acquisitions.

• Support HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, HRIS transactions, compliance, leave administration, workers' compensation, unemployment, training, and credentialing requirements.

• Analyze HR metrics and workforce trends to identify risks and opportunities while helping leaders develop practical solutions that strengthen engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.

• Build strong relationships throughout the assigned region by maintaining regular communication with leaders and employees and traveling to Michigan branch locations when in-person HR support is needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.

• Minimum of three years of Human Resources Generalist or HR Business Partner experience required.

• Strong knowledge of employee relations, investigations, performance management, employment practices, and HR compliance.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the confidence to coach and advise leaders at multiple levels of the organization.

• Strong judgment, discretion, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently manage competing priorities.

• Experience supporting multiple locations, organizational growth, or acquisition integration preferred.

• Healthcare, Hospice, Home Health, or another highly regulated industry experience preferred.

• Experience with HRIS platforms, workforce analytics, leave administration, and employee investigations preferred.

• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
