We Are Hiring a Houseperson / Laundry Attendant!

Are you looking to start or grow your career in hospitality? We are seeking a motivated Houseperson / Laundry Attendant to join our housekeeping team. This position plays an essential role in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and guest-ready hotel environment by supporting housekeeping operations, managing laundry, and ensuring supplies are stocked and available.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active, working as part of a team, and has an interest in advancing into a Room Attendant (Housekeeper) position as opportunities become available.

Responsibilities

Houseperson Duties

• Clean and maintain public areas including the lobby, hallways, stairwells, elevators, and public restrooms to brand standards.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitizing.
• Transport clean linens to guest room floors and collect soiled linens for processing.
• Restock housekeeping closets, carts, and supplies throughout the shift.
• Deliver guest-requested items such as towels, amenities, cribs, and other supplies promptly.
• Assist Room Attendants with heavy cleaning tasks, linen removal, furniture movement, and room setup needs.
• Monitor assigned areas for cleanliness and safety, reporting maintenance concerns as needed.

Laundry Duties

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, and other laundry items.
• Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect linens for stains, damage, and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and work areas.
• Ensure adequate inventory of clean linens is available to support hotel operations.
• Follow all safety procedures and chemical handling guidelines.

Growth Opportunity

• Learn housekeeping procedures and brand standards while supporting the department.
• Receive cross-training opportunities within the housekeeping department.
• Qualified associates may have the opportunity to advance into a Room Attendant (Housekeeper) role and continue developing their hospitality career.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, laundry, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
• Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and move supplies, linen carts, and equipment throughout the shift.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Basic communication skills and a guest-service mindset.
• Reliable, professional, and safety-focused.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the department.
