Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Details: Job Location: Hyatt Place Hyatt House Lehigh Valley - Allentown, PA, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Our Housekeeping Supervisor assists the Executive Housekeeper in the overseeing the cleaning operations of guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet the hotel's standards of cleanliness and presentation. They will assist in assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring work is completed efficiently. Additionally, supervisors conduct inspections to identify any areas needing attention, handle guest requests or complaints related to housekeeping, and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and linens.

Essential Job Functions:  

Supervise housekeeping staff ensuring brand/hotel guest service and sustainability standards are met. 

Train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards.   

Train staff to clean rooms in an efficient manner according to established standards or partner with external vendor to ensure staff is trained properly. 

Be aware of and communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction.  

Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to associates. 

Clean rooms or assist staff with cleaning rooms.  

Address associate performance and behavior concerns.  

Practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment. 

Ensure overall guest satisfaction. 

Perform other duties as requested by management. 

Qualifications:

High School diploma preferred. 

Understand and communicate in English/Spanish. 

Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays, and weekends. 

Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching and use of cleaning chemicals.
