We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team and ensure a memorable guest experience.
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards. Their role involves more than just overseeing cleaning; they ensure guests enjoy a comfortable and pleasant stay by upholding Marriott's renowned standards of cleanliness. Being detail-oriented, managing time effectively, and having a strong work ethic are crucial for this position. Housekeeping Supervisors collaborate with other hotel departments to promptly address guest needs and requests. Assigning housekeeping tasks to staff and inspecting work to ensure that the standards of cleanliness are met
Regularly taking inventory of cleaning supplies and ordering stock as needed
Issuing cleaning supplies and equipment to housekeeping staff as needed
Oversee the cleaning and upkeep of hotel rooms to ensure standards are met
Ensure all areas, such as guest rooms and bathrooms, are properly maintained and cleaned by the housekeeping staff
Inspect rooms to ensure linens are changed, beds are properly made, and areas are vacuumed, dusted, mopped, and windows are cleaned
Make sure amenities in guest rooms and bathrooms, such as toiletries, coffee, tea, towels, and linens, are replenished as needed
Respond promptly and effectively to guest requests and resolve any issues or complaints
Work closely with the housekeeping team to achieve departmental goals and deliver outstanding service
Uphold hotel standards and procedures to exceed guest expectations, including managing lost and found items, ensuring guest privacy, and securing rooms after cleaning
Uphold all safety and security procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
Engage in training and development opportunities to enhance job performance
Adhere to all safety and security procedures to provide a safe environment for guests and colleagues
Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and deliver outstanding service
Report any maintenance issues or damages in rooms to the appropriate department for timely resolution
Follow environmentally friendly practices and procedures to support sustainability effort

Attends hotel and department meetings and other functions required by management
Communicates all pertinent information to Executive Housekeeper
Must be available to work weekends and holidays
Arrives to work on time, ready to clock in, in a clean/pressed uniform and non-slip shoes
Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
Wears name tag at all times when at work
Must be attentive, courteous and efficient at all times when dealing with the guests and co-workers
Comply at all times with compliance standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow employees and other departments within the hotel in such a manner that promotes harmony and goodwill throughout the workplace
Be familiar with all policies and hotel rules, and hotel terminology
Must be capable of self-supervision and have the ability to manage time accordingly in order to complete the required wor
Qualifications: Qualifications Requirements:
A minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in hotel housekeeping
Minimum age requirement of 18 years
Knowledge and Skills:
Proficiency in multitasking is essential
Ability to meet the needs of others in a dynamic and fast-paced setting
Possess a friendly demeanor and the ability to address guest requests and concerns promptly and courteously
Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and supplies, including vacuums, mops, and disinfectants, to sanitize bathrooms and other room areas
Understanding of hotel safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for guests and staff
Capability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Knowledge of safety protocols to handle chemicals
Ability to keep track of room supplies, restock as necessary, and maintain an organized work area
Reasoning Ability:
Housekeeping Supervisors need strong reasoning skills. They should be able to think clearly about situations, make good decisions, and prioritize tasks to ensure guest rooms are maintained to high standards. They must also adapt quickly to changes, such as handling special guest requests or addressing issues that arise during their shift. Additionally, Housekeeping Supervisors oversee the work of room attendants, ensuring that cleaning procedures are followed correctly.
