Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins, Utah is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Housekeeping and Laundry to join our outstanding team!

$15.50 - $17.00 /hour

Job Summary:

The Housekeeping team member is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the Southern Utah Veterans Home. This role supports the health and comfort of our residents by ensuring all assigned areas are cleaned and maintained according to established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces regularly.
• Dispose of trash and waste materials in a timely and sanitary manner.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in designated areas.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Follow all safety and infection control procedures to protect residents, staff, and self.
• Assist with laundry duties as needed, including washing, folding, and distributing linens.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting and bending.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Effective communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to adhere to all facility policies and procedures.

Work Environment:

This position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods. The role involves exposure to cleaning chemicals and requires adherence to safety guidelines.
