Housekeeper

North Platte Valley Medical Center (NPVMC) is looking for a Housekeeper to join our team. Our Environmental Services Department is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining a clean hospital environment as directed in a safe, responsible, and efficient manner. We do have an onsite laundry facility that the department will also maintain. This department covers housekeeping for our hospital, clinic, and extended care unit.

The ideal person for this position has experience, enjoys working individually or on occasion as a team, is well-spoken, energetic, and personable.  

Responsibilities: 

• Clean –  Perform general cleaning and sanitizing tasks throughout the medical facility. Clean and disinfect patient/resident rooms, bathrooms, and dining areas.
• Other – Pick up and empty trash containers. Load washer and dryer as needed.  If applicable, notify maintenance if something is not working correctly.  

Requirements: 

• Detail-oriented, confidential, and professional
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at times
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and reach, bend, lift and pull
• Knows that they will be working with harsh chemicals for cleaning.

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend rotations and flexibility
