Housekeeper

Job Details: Job Location: Cass Regional Medical Center - Harrisonville, MO, Position Type: PRN, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Any, Schedule: PRN, work as needed to cover open shifts on 1st, 2nd and 3rd to cover vacations, days off and other requests on short notice. Work some weekends and holidays. 

Day Shift Schedules are between 7 am to 3:30 pm, 8am to 4:30pm, Second Shift: 3 pm to 11:30 pm, third shift: 11pm to 7:30 am

Areas of tasks: Removing trash & linen, bio waste throughout facility, conference setups, patient room discharge cleaning, daily room cleaning, emergency room cleaning, utilizing floor scrubbers, burnishers/buffers, hanging & replacing curtains, stocking supplies, stocking linen as needed and other department tasks as needed.

Primary Purpose: To clean assigned areas of the hospital and to maintain the hospital in a sanitary, orderly and attractive condition.                                      

Formal Policy-Setting Responsibilities:  No formal responsibility.  The policies associated with the job’s purpose and essential responsibilities are set by others.                                          

Routine Decision Making: Makes decisions on areas that need cleaning in the absence of the Environmental Services Manager.                                           

Formal Supervisory Responsibility: No formal supervisory responsibility.                                                          

Unusual Working Conditions: Working with chemicals; risk of blood, body fluid contamination.                  

 
Qualifications: Education and Certification/ Registration Required for the Position: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. High school education or equivalent preferred.       

Required Knowledge: Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines; knowledge of waste and infectious waste and chemicals; knowledge of proper use of personal protective equipment
