Employment Type: Part-Time | 24 weekly hours guaranteed

Schedule:
Monday: 9AM-5PM
Wednesday: 10AM-6PM
Friday: 9AM-5PM

Occasional evening date night coverage preferred. There is also potential for additional hours over time as the relationship and household needs evolve.

Compensation: $36–$38 per hour plus Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays included

Requirements

• Preferred: 2+ years of professional Household Manager experience in a private home (or equivalent transferable experience in a related role). The ideal candidate is an experienced household professional who is proactive, highly organized, and takes pride in running a home with excellence.
• Prior childcare experience, with an understanding of age-appropriate activities, routines and safety practices.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. A family vehicle will be provided for work-related responsibilities. Candidates are expected to keep the vehicle clean, organized, fueled and ready for daily use.
• Candidates must be fully vaccinated in accordance with current American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommendations for caregivers of young children, including MMR, Tdap and annual Influenza vaccination. Proof of immunization may be requested prior to employment.
• Maintain a smoke-free environment

We're a busy family of four living in a warm and welcoming home. After relocating from NYC a few years ago, we've built a wonderful life in our community. Our two children are energetic, fun and keep the household lively. One parent travels frequently and the other put their career on hold to focus on family, so having a House Manager who brings professionalism, reliability and is a natural fit in our home is ideal. While we don't have nearby family support, we've intentionally created a well-organized home with thoughtful routines and systems that keep daily life running smoothly. As our needs have evolved with our growing family and busy lives, we're looking for a trusted household professional to become an extension of our family.— Our goal is simple: to have a helping hand where needed, whether it be running errands, helping maintain systems in our home or being a trusted and loving caretaker to our children.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You are a seasoned household manager - or bring transferable experience in a highly organized, detail-driven role - to serve as the operational heartbeat of our home. You have an eye for clutter and detail that matches our own. You're organized not just in concept but in practice, taking full ownership of responsibilities from start to finish. The ideal candidate maintains exceptional standards, respects established systems while thoughtfully suggesting improvements, and helps ease the mental load through proactive management of household logistics and projects. This role also includes providing attentive and engaging care for our two young boys, supporting their daily routines, safety, play and overall well-being while creating a warm, dependable presence in our home.

Above all, you'll help reduce the family's mental load by managing the countless moving pieces behind the scenes, allowing us to spend less time coordinating logistics and more time focused on what matters most.

Key Responsibilities

Meal Planning and Prep

• Help reduce the family's mealtime workload by preparing practical, make-ahead meals and ingredients, with the flexibility to occasionally cook a simple family dinner when needed
• Prep healthy snacks and school lunches
• Kitchen reset and maintenance after cooking
• Build and manage weekly grocery lists, including grocery pick up

Family Support & Child Assistance

• Occasional school pick ups and transportation to/from activities
• Attentive and engaging care for our two children
• Provide occasional evening childcare for date nights
• Prep backpacks and clothing for school days
• Child-related errands as needed

Household Management and Organization

• Maintain existing household organization systems
• Manage running household supply lists and take ownership of restocking
• Daily resets including dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas, patio prep, and ensuring everything goes back in its place
• Prep home before weekly cleaner arrives on Fridays
• Manage drop zones including mudroom, entryway, and garage areas
• Seasonal clothing, decor, and bedding swaps
• Donation drop-offs
• Guest room prep and reset for visiting family
• Water indoor and outdoor plants, especially when family is traveling
• Packing and unpacking support
• Assist with planning and preparing for family events and gatherings, including organizing the home, shopping for supplies, setting up, and ensuring everything is ready for guests

Laundry & Linens

• Wash, fold, organize, and put away household laundry and linens
• Weekly linen changes on beds and in bathrooms
• Occasional ironing and steaming when necessary
• Keep laundry area tidy and well-stocked

Inventory & Errands

• Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies
• Manage running household supply lists and subscriptions (Amazon, Target, etc.)
• Handle returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping
• Mail and package handling; break down boxes

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects

• Occasional deep cleans including the refrigerator, stove, oven, and baseboards to complement the work of the weekly house cleaner
• Organizational projects including pantry resets, closets, toys, and gear
• Helping sort, file, and organize children's artwork and seasonal clothing and toy rotations

Vehicle Management

• Fueling, weekly run through the car wash, and organization of the family vehicle

Administrative & Personal Assistant Support

• Partner with the family to manage and maintain the household calendar, coordinating school schedules, appointments, activities, and family commitments to keep everyone organized and informed.
• Receipt and expense tracking using a dedicated household credit card
