About Our Family

We’re a busy, active family in a season of growth — raising two energetic young boys and getting ready to welcome a new baby this summer. Our days are full, our calendar moves quickly, and there’s usually a lot happening at once. Both parents run their own businesses: one is frequently in and out of the office and travels for work, while the other is largely home-based. Mornings in particular can feel like organized chaos — school drop-offs, lunches packed, backpacks accounted for, and everyone getting where they need to be.

We’ve already built a strong foundation at home with a weekly housekeeper and trusted vendors, so this isn’t a role where someone needs to create everything from scratch. What we’re missing is the person who connects the dots — someone who notices what needs attention before it becomes urgent, keeps the household moving behind the scenes, and creates systems that make everyday life feel easier and calmer. We love someone who doesn’t wait for direction or need hand-holding; someone who can confidently say, “Here’s what I’m seeing, and here’s how I’d handle it.” We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, anticipates needs, and helps dictate the rhythm of the household rather than waiting to be told what to do.

Personality-wise, we’re warm, low-key, and easy to get along with. We value people who are highly organized, proactive, trustworthy, discreet, and warm without being overly familiar. This role is household-first, but because our kids are a big part of daily life, we appreciate someone who enjoys the energy of a young family and understands how thoughtful household support creates more ease, calm, and connection at home. We appreciate someone who can step into the flow of family life when needed while staying focused on keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

The best fit for our family is someone who communicates clearly, brings calm confidence to a busy household, and is comfortable making decisions without constant direction. We value initiative, reliability, and someone who is easy to be around — not overly chatty, not transactional, just steady, capable, and invested in helping our home function at its best. We’re not looking for a friendship dynamic — we’re looking for a trusted, capable partner who helps create more breathing room so we can show up as our best selves as parents and as a family.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You’re the kind of person who walks into a home and immediately starts connecting the dots. You notice what needs attention, take initiative, and help create the structure that allows a busy household to feel calmer and more manageable. Specifically, you are someone who:

  • Takes ownership naturally — You don’t wait for direction or need hand-holding. You assess what’s needed, prioritize effectively, and confidently move things forward.
  • Is highly organized and systems-minded — You enjoy creating routines, processes, and household systems that make day-to-day life easier and more efficient.
  • Anticipates needs before they become urgent — Whether it’s planning ahead for the week, noticing household gaps, or staying ahead of logistics, you’re proactive by default.
  • Brings calm to a fast-moving environment — You’re comfortable in a household with young children, changing schedules, and lots of moving parts, and you remain steady and solutions-oriented.
  • Thrives in a household-first role — You understand that your primary responsibility is keeping the home running smoothly, while comfortably stepping into family life when appropriate.
  • Enjoys being around young children without seeking a nanny dynamic — You don’t mind the energy, noise, or unpredictability that comes with two active boys and a growing family, but your focus remains household support and operations.
  • Communicates clearly and confidently — You’re comfortable making recommendations, sharing observations, and helping guide household priorities rather than waiting to be assigned tasks.
  • Is warm, professional, and discreet — You build trust easily, respect privacy, and know how to be personable without becoming overly familiar.
  • Is low-drama and easy to work with — You’re dependable, adaptable, self-sufficient, and bring a positive, grounded presence into the home.

The right person for this role helps create more ease, calm, and breathing room for our family — making everyday life feel more manageable without needing to be asked.

Key Responsibilities

Family Support

  • Prep backpacks, clothing, and kids' lunches the evening before school
  • Manage school and daycare calendars through portal access, including tracking activities, birthday parties, and closures
  • Provide backup and emergency childcare coverage as needed; occasional babysitting or date night coverage

Meal Support

  • Prepare 4 dinners per week (Monday through Thursday), structured to be reheated easily
  • Pack school lunches 5 days per week
  • Prep cut fruit and vegetables in containers for easy family snacking
  • Manage grocery ordering via delivery accounts (Sprouts, Whole Foods) following the family's gluten-free dietary needs
  • Maintain grocery and supply lists; take full ownership of weekly ordering

Household Organization & Maintenance

  • Build household organization systems from the ground up across the home
  • Perform daily resets: tidying surfaces, running the dishwasher, vacuuming high-traffic areas, and preparing the home for the weekly housekeeper
  • Manage seasonal clothing and decor rotations; coordinate donation drop-offs
  • Assist with event, holiday, and birthday party prep
  • Support packing and unpacking for family travel
  • Maintain a Home Systems Playbook with monthly and quarterly task calendars

  • Organize important family documents into a single, accessible location
  • Maintain tidy outdoor spaces including two large patios and the backyard/pool area (pool maintenance excluded)

Inventory & Errands

  • Manage and restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies via delivery accounts and subscriptions
  • Handle returns, pharmacy pickups, dry cleaning drop-off and pickup, and gift shopping
  • Bring in mail, sort packages, and break down boxes for recycling
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling (medical, dental, personal care, etc.)
  • Assist with travel planning and logistics on an as-needed basis

Laundry & Linens

  • Manage linen and towel rotation (coordinated around the weekly housekeeper schedule)
  • Wash, fold, and put away family and children's clothing
  • Occasional ironing or steaming as needed
  • Maintain a well-stocked and tidy laundry area

Vehicle Upkeep

  • Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance for family vehicles
  • Schedule mobile detailing services
  • Track vehicle registration and insurance renewal dates

  • Occasional deep cleaning not covered by the weekly housekeeper: fridge, oven, baseboards, and windows
  • Maintain garage organization system after initial reset by an outside company
  • Clean and maintain humidifiers, air purifiers, and water filters

Pet Care

  • Schedule grooming appointments for the family dog
  • Manage and maintain pet supply inventory

Vendor & Property Oversight

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all existing vendors: housekeeper, landscaper, HVAC, pest control, handyman, and others
  • Coordinate scheduling and on-site oversight for vendor visits
  • Maintain a running household to-do list and vendor contact directory
