Position Overview

Job Title: Houseperson (HSKP)
Location: Town Center, Virginia Beach — 4595 Columbus Street, VA 23462
Schedule: Seasonal, must be available weekends and holidays
Work Environment: Modern hotel in the heart of Virginia Beach's Town Center business and entertainment district

Summary
The Houseperson is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, hallways, furnishings, flooring, and work areas. Duties include changing bed linens, emptying trash, vacuuming carpets, and dusting furniture. This person assists room attendants with supplies and linens.

Job Functions:

Strips rooms — removes bed linens, terry, and trash.
Cleans hallways, corridors, elevators, stairways, ice rooms, trash areas, and linen closets.
Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaners.
Dusts fixtures, frames, and equipment.
Polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
Empties wastebaskets.
Transports trash and waste to the disposal area.
Stocks and delivers supplies.
Replaces light bulbs.
Abides by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals.
Reports for scheduled shifts, on time and in uniform, in accordance with company policy.
Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.
Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Able to communicate in English, verbal and written.
Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
