Position Overview

Job Title: Front Desk Supervisor
Location: 4595 Columbus Street, Virginia Beach, VA 23462
Reports To: Front Office Manager / General Manager
Schedule: Full-time. Variable hours, must include weekends and holidays.
Work Environment: Modern hotel in the heart of Virginia Beach's Town Center business and entertainment district

Summary

The Front Desk Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring every guest receives a warm welcome and a seamless stay. You will lead and support the guest service team, resolve guest concerns, and serve as Manager on Duty during your assigned shift.

Job Functions:

Supervises front desk personnel, including guest service agents and night auditors, during the assigned shift.
Oversees check-in/check-out procedures, reservations, and guest billing for accuracy.
Resolves guest concerns and service issues promptly and professionally.
Trains, coaches, and supports front desk associates to meet brand and service standards.
Serves as Manager on Duty, overseeing hotel operations during the assigned shift.
Handles cash and credit transactions and maintains accurate shift banks.
Ensures Hilton brand standards and Shamin Hotels service expectations are met.
Coordinates with Housekeeping and Maintenance on room readiness and guest needs.
Supports the Front Office Manager with reporting and daily operations.
Reports for scheduled shifts, on time and in uniform, in accordance with company policy.
Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.
Performs other related duties as required.

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
Prior hotel front desk experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
Strong customer service skills required.
Strong prioritization, time management, and attention to detail.
Able to communicate in English, verbal and written; bilingual a plus.
Hilton PEP property management system experience preferred.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
