Host/Hostess

POSITION SUMMARY

The Host/Hostess creates the first and last impression of every guest's experience at LaBelle Winery. This role welcomes guests warmly, manages the flow of seating across the restaurant and event spaces, and coordinates closely with servers, management, and the culinary team to ensure a smooth, memorable visit consistent with LaBelle's standards of hospitality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet and welcome all guests promptly, warmly, and professionally upon arrival and departure.
• Manage the reservation system and waitlist, accurately quoting wait times and seating guests in a fair, efficient rotation.
• Coordinate seating assignments (Open Table) with servers and management to balance sections and maintain service quality.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, and respond to general guest inquiries about hours, menus, and events.
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand, entryway, and waiting area throughout each shift.
• Communicate special occasions, allergies, large parties, and VIP guests to the appropriate team members.
• Assist with menu presentation, wine list distribution, and basic guest questions about the venue.
• Support servers and bussers during high-volume periods, including light food running or table resets as needed.
• Escalate guest concerns to a manager promptly and professionally.
• Uphold LaBelle Winery's brand standards for appearance, tone, and guest interaction at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience in a host, server, or guest-service role preferred; hospitality or restaurant experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, professional demeanor under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a busy floor and waitlist accurately.
• Comfortable using a POS or Open Table reservation system (training provided).
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, including peak event dates.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to a full shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally (e.g., high chairs, supplies).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced indoor/outdoor hospitality environment, including seasonal outdoor seating areas.

Wednesday- Sunday. Days, evening and holiday attention. 
16.00/hourly, part time
