Host/Hostess

Orchard Valley Golf Course, located in Aurora, IL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Host/Hostess! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
 
Compensation: $15.00 per hour
 
Job Summary:
As a Host/Hostess at The Orchard Social, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm welcome and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Your exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to detail will help create a friendly and inviting atmosphere that reflects the high standards of our restaurant and golf course.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive.
•  Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize the flow of guests.
• Maintain a clean and organized entrance and dining area
• Provide menus and inform guests of specials and promotions.
• Answer phone calls and take reservations with professionalism and courtesy
• Assist with seating and accommodate special requests from guests.
• Collaborate with the dining staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly.
• Uphold the restaurant's standards of hospitality and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a host/hostess or customer service role preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. 
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of dining etiquette and golf course operations is a plus.
