Spirit Mountain is hiring for the winter ski season and is looking for a vibrant and energetic individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess. This is a fun and dynamic role in a lively setting, where you’ll be the first point of contact for guests at our bars and restaurants. As a Host/Hostess, you’ll play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth seating and service operations. If you enjoy working with people and thrive in a team-oriented environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create a positive guest experience by warmly greeting guests upon arrival and ensuring they are promptly seated.
• Manage reservations and guide guests to their tables efficiently.
• Provide accurate wait time estimates and manage the flow of the waiting area.
• Distribute menus and address initial guest inquiries with professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
• Optimize seating to ensure an even workload for servers, contributing to smooth service.
• Handle phone calls for reservations, inquiries, and takeout orders as needed.
• Assist servers when necessary to ensure seamless service, such as refilling drinks or clearing tables.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, welcoming attitude.
• Proficiency with computers and phones for managing reservations and inquiries.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds when assisting with clearing tables or setting up seating areas.
