Host Hostess

Job Summary 

The Host/Hostess creates the first impression of Cielo restaurant, greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and coordinating the flow of the dining room. This role balances table turns against reservation and walk-in demand, communicates wait times honestly, and ensures the host stand and entry area reflect ADERO's standard of polish. The Host/Hostess works closely with servers and management to seat guests thoughtfully based on party size, occasion, and server workload, directly shaping the guest's first and last impression of the restaurant.

Education & Experience 

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of guest service or hospitality experience.
• Ability to operate a reservations and table management system.

• Listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with department standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
• Maintainhigh standardsof personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the required nametag and uniform.
• Comply withallLionGroveand brand standards, policies, and safety regulations.
• Attend all required meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain the confidentiality of guest, employee, and company information.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for the full duration of a shift, typically eight hours or longer, on tile, stone, and outdoor patio surfaces.
• Lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly, including loaded trays, cases of beverages, and table linens.
• Bend, reach, and move quickly through dining, bar, and service areas.
• Stand at the host stand andwalkthe dining room for the full duration of a shift, typically eight hours or longer.

Preferrred Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Spanish.
• Previous host or hostess experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
