Dialog Cafe West Hollywood is looking for a Host to join our team who share the same core values, have a passion for providing excellent customer service, are team oriented, and can work in a fast-paced environment. This location is located at 8766 Holloway Dr. The Host role is a crucial part of Dialog Café’s customer service department. 

The purpose of the Host role is to directly support Management, with focus on day-to-day service and guest engagement. A strong focus is placed on ensuring the highest standards for service, consistency, and flow . The Host is usually the first person guests interact with. They set the tone for the dining experience, seat guests in an efficient manner while accommodating any special requests they may have, and perform other duties as needed throughout the restaurant 

Part Time position. Shifts range from 7am to 5pm
Pay Rate $20.25, plus tips

Host role duties and responsibilities:

• Welcome guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
• Greet guests promptly, provide menus, and answer initial questions.
• Conduct table touches and engage with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout their visit.
• Respond to guest concerns and assist management in resolving issues.
• Communicate effectively using the restaurant’s walkie-talkie system.
• Manage guest lines, wait times, and seating arrangements to maintain efficient service flow.
• Provide positive, energetic hospitality and assist with VIP guest accommodations when needed.
• Support restaurant operations by running food, bussing tables, and assisting guests as needed.
• Maintain high performance standards, whether working independently or as part of a team.
• Complete side work, including rolling silverware, cleaning, sweeping, stocking, and organizing work areas.
• Assist fellow team members and other departments to promote a positive and productive work environment.
• Help maintain the restaurant’s reputation by encouraging guest feedback and monitoring online reviews.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support overall restaurant operations.

Required qualifications and skills:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Customer service experience.
• Valid ABC license and Food Handlers certificate.
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette.
• Familiarity with Health and Safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Critical thinking skills and adaptability.
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Willingness to follow instruction and ask questions for any clarification.
• Ability to handle money accurately and operate a Point-Of-Sale system.
