The Bourbon Group, one of Salt Lake City’s most beloved brands, is currently seeking Hosts/Hostesses to join our downtown teams!
Our mission is to help our guests by curating a dine-in experience that brings people together around the table to enjoy great cuisine and cocktails featuring some of the largest spirits collections in the country.
Our menu highlights our craft kitchen items, prepared using locally sourced ingredients. We also feature a full bar that includes an impressive selection of wine and craft beers.
We are looking for team members that are hardworking, unique, bring a warm, personal, and thoughtful approach to hospitality, and find joy in actively serving their team and guests. We have a high standard for our product and service and expect our team to constantly raise the bar and be proud of The Bourbon Group brand.
The Bourbon Group Hosts/Hostesses position is committed to creating an exceptional dining experience for every guest. Hosts/Hostesses should be warm and welcoming promoting a comfortable drinking and dining environment. Hosts/Hostesses are always on time and prepared for their shift. They go out of their way to please the guest and are never inconvenienced by special requests. Servers must communicate clearly with diners to meet their needs. The Hosts/Hostesses are expected to promote teamwork by cooperating with management and collaborating whenever possible with other team members.

Job Summary
- Full-Time Host/Hostess $11.00/hour plus tips
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas
- Provide guests with accurate wait times and updates as needed
- Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings
- Inform guests of current promotions and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff
- Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate
- Communicate with service staff and management regarding any pertinent service information
Qualifications
- Willing to work a flexible schedule and weekends
- Ability to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Team play with a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor

- Bourbon Group offers medical, dental, and vision benefits to all of our full-time (30+ hours/week) Team Members. The Bourbon Group pays 65% of medical for qualified Team Members. Eligibility begins the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.
- Perks: Team Members receive 50% off meals on and off shift. This discount extends to 3 guests when dining off duty. Discount is available at all our locations.

- Paid Vacation: Management receives two weeks of paid vacation per year. Vacation increases to three weeks following 5 years of employment.
Dickie Brennan & Company was established in 1991 to continue the rich history of New Orleans cuisine through locally inspired and nationally recognized cuisine. Dickie Brennan, Owner and Managing Partner of Dickie Brennan & Company, is a trained chef and third generation New Orleans restaurateur of the renowned Brennan family. Growing up under the tutelage of esteemed Chef Paul Prudhomme, Dickie helped New Orleans institution Commander’s Palace lead the American Regional Cuisine movement by introducing the world to Cajun and Creole cooking. Along with Managing Partners Steve Pettus and sister Lauren Brennan Brower, Dickie is dedicated to serving modern and inventive Creole cuisine which builds upon the fundamentals established by his father, Dick Brennan Sr.
Today, Dickie Brennan's restaurant group includes four restaurants located in New Orleans' picturesque French Quarter: Palace Café, Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse, Bourbon House, and Tableau. We also own & operate Acorn Café (Located in New Orleans' City Park adjacent to the Louisiana Children's Museum), The Commissary Kitchen + Market in New Orleans' Garden District, and Pascal's Manale. In addition, we have an exclusive partnership with Audubon Nature Institute to operate their catering and events.
