Part-Time Accounts Payable / Accounting Assistant

Job Details: Job Location: TXL - Addison, TX, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Day, We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Accounts Payable / Accounting Assistant to support the accounting team for a portfolio of 33 hotel properties. This position is responsible for processing accounts payable transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end accounting activities, and providing administrative support to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Schedule

Part-time (20–30 hours per week; flexible schedule may be available)

Key Responsibilities

Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation.
Verify coding and obtain appropriate approvals before payment.
Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain organized electronic and paper accounts payable files.
Communicate professionally with vendors and hotel management regarding payment inquiries.
Assist with credit card reconciliations and expense reporting.
Support month-end closing by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting schedules.
Assist with bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
Maintain accurate records for multiple hotel entities and ensure compliance with company policies.
Assist with audits and provide requested documentation.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
Multi-entity or hospitality accounting experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Experience with accounting software (hospitality accounting systems such as M3, ProfitSword, or similar is a plus).
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
