Hospital Nursing Assistant

About the Position:

Provides compassionate and high-quality personal care and prescribes medical treatments to patients at Riverwood Health Care Center, in accordance with the scope of practice for a nursing assistant. Performs all duties under the supervision and delegation of a registered nurse, ensuring adherence to established care plans and facility protocols.

What we are looking for:

Education and Experience

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Current and active registration as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is highly preferred but not required for candidates who have already completed high school or obtained a GED.
• If currently enrolled in high school, the individual must have an active CNA registration or obtain CNA certification within six (6) months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred; may be required upon hire based on departmental needs.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Current Nursing Assistant (NA) registration with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing highly preferred.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or ability to obtain during orientation.
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification preferred, but not required.

Riverwood Healthcare Center is a 25-bed Critical Access hospital with three full-service clinics in Aitkin, McGregor, and Garrison. Riverwood has recently expanded its footprint in Aitkin with a state-of-the-art surgical center.

0600-1830 and 1800-0630 rotating day/night. Every third weekend.
FTE-0.75 (60 hours per pay period)
