Looking for an RN role that offers independence, meaningful hospice work, and 7 days off at a time?

Beyond Hospice is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – After-Hours Triage to support hospice patients and families during evening and overnight hours.

Schedule & Pay

8:00 p.m.–8:00 a.m.

$48.70-$56.66/hr. 

Preferred schedule: 7 nights on / 7 days off

$200 per on-call shift

In-person visits are paid separately at the applicable RN hourly rate

Provide telephone triage and make patient visits when clinically necessary

What You’ll Do

Provide after-hours telephone triage for hospice patients and families

Assess symptoms and determine appropriate interventions

Make in-person visits when needed

Provide comfort-focused nursing care and symptom management

Educate and support patients, families, and caregivers

Collaborate with physicians and the hospice interdisciplinary team

Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation

What We’re Looking For

Current Minnesota RN license

Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills

Ability to work confidently and independently

Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance

Hospice, home health, acute care, or triage experience preferred

Qualifications: Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.   
Current Minnesota RN license.  
Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, problem solving skills; nursing skills per competency checklist.
Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Two (2) years of acute care experience in an institutional setting, or two (2) years of recent experience in hospice/home care.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands

Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
Ability to assist patients with mobility and transfers as needed.

Work Environment

Office, hospice home, and community-based settings.
Exposure to emotional and sensitive patient/family situations.
Requires compliance with infection control and safety procedures.
After-hours and weekend availability as needed.
