Position Overview:
As an Associate Medical Director at Bloom Hospice, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional hospice and palliative care services to our patients. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate physician with a board certification in hospice and palliative care, or a minimum of two years of experience in hospice and end-of-life care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the hospice interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients.
- Provide expert medical guidance in pain and symptom management.
- Offer emotional support and communication to patients and their families.
- Participate in the evaluation and admission of new hospice patients.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the hospice program.
- Mentor and support healthcare staff in providing palliative and hospice care.
Qualifications:
- Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (preferred).
- Minimum of two years of experience in hospice and end-of-life care.
- Valid medical license in the state of Colorado.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
