Home Health Aide (Part-Time)

Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule: 4 to 5 hours per day (approximately 20 to 25 hours per week)
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Home Health Aide to provide in-home care and support for an individual in a private residence. This part-time position requires approximately 4 to 5 hours each day and is ideal for a caregiver who is patient, attentive, and committed to helping clients maintain their independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Provide personal care assistance, including grooming, dressing, and hygiene
• Prepare light meals and snacks
• Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, and general tidying
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Assist with mobility and safety monitoring
• Provide medication reminders
• Accompany client to appointments or errands as needed
• Observe and report any changes in the client's condition or well-being
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum of one year of caregiving, home health, CNA, or related experience preferred
• Current CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Current 2-Step TB Test (or TB screening documentation as required by state regulations) or a recent chest X-ray with clearance documentation
• Current physical examination completed within the last six (6) months
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
• Reliable, compassionate, and professional demeanor

Required Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or related healthcare credential
• Experience working with seniors or individuals with chronic health conditions
• Familiarity with home care best practices and safety procedures
