HN440 - Manny/Nanny - Washington, DC

Overview

An active family of five in Washington, D.C. is seeking an energetic, experienced Manny/Nanny to join their household and care for three children (ages 5, 3, 1.5). The primary focus of the role will be childcare, enrichment, physical activity, and developmental support, with particular emphasis on helping the oldest child get ready for kindergarten.

The successful candidate will work closely with the family’s existing nanny, who oversees the children and some housekeeping responsibilities. This role will work alongside the full-time nanny and focus primarily on the eldest two children. Former camp-counselors, college athletes, pre-school teachers, etc. are encouraged to apply. 

The priority hours are Friday: 10am-7pm, Saturday & Sunday: 8am-8pm

If desired, with possibility for afternoons/some afternoons of the following days: M/T/W/Th 2pm-7pm

Responsibilities

Duties will include:

• Managing daily routines
• Coming up with fun crafts
• Coordinating schedules
• Encouraging outdoor and athletic pursuits
• Providing age-appropriate educational and academic support
• The family is looking for someone comfortable with occasional overnight stays, particularly when the parents are traveling
• Summer travel to Westchester and Manhattan is required, with a rotating schedule during that period

• The ideal candidate is proactive, energetic, engaging, flexible, and a strong team player, with excellent communication skills and experience working with children in a busy family environment.  

Salary and Benefits

• $40-45+/hour
