Hiring Registered Nurse for Med-Surg Unit (MSU) in Fort Defiance,AZ

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in Adult and Pediatric Medical-Surgical settings. The RN will be responsible for assessing patients, administering treatments and medications, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Pay Rate : $2502 total weekly pay , pay break - $69.50/hour($33/hour taxable W-2 , $36.50/hour non taxable stipend) for traveler

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• Typical schedule alternates between 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next
• Up to 1 on-call shift per week
• Must be flexible to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Holiday coverage is required
• Maximum of 2 shift call-offs during the assignment
• RTO for Thanksgiving and Christmas will not be accepted

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and pediatric medical-surgical patients.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and accurately.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, and patient responses to treatment.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive patient-care environment.
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and clinical emergencies.
• Follow established infection-control, safety, and quality standards.
• Participate in on-call coverage as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Minimum 3 years of recent nursing experience required.
• Medical-Surgical experience required.
• Experience with both adult and pediatric patients preferred.
• BLS/BCLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Must be flexible with scheduling, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities.
