Hiring for Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) - Cardiac Cath Lab in White Plains, NY

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is  seeking a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) in Cardiac Cath Lab Unit   to assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac, electrophysiology, and peripheral vascular procedures. The specialist will operate specialized equipment, monitor patients, assist physicians, document procedures, and ensure patient safety throughout the procedure.

Pay Rate: $40.91–$61.37/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists with diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Prepare patients and procedure rooms for cardiac, EP, and peripheral procedures
• Operate and assist with imaging, monitoring, and specialized equipment
• Monitor ECG and hemodynamic pressure tracings
• Assist with sheath removal, groin management, patient transport, and IABP troubleshooting
• Support electrophysiology procedures and device implants
• Perform and document procedural data accurately
• Utilize IVUS, ICE, FFR, iFR, RFR, OCT, and other catheter-based imaging technologies
• Maintain knowledge of balloons, stents, guide catheters, and procedural devices
• Manage inventory, supplies, equipment, and purchase requests
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions or repair needs
• Follow infection control, OSHA, and safety standards
• Assist with billing processes, charge audits, and departmental procedures
• Support training and orientation of new staff and students
• Provide flexible coverage, including on-call responsibilities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Completion of an approved scrub technician or hospital-based training program
• Certificate/degree in a health science field preferred
• CCI Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential
• 1+ year of scrub technician or cardiac technician experience preferred
• RCIS/RCES preferred
• BLS and ACLS – American Heart Association required upon hire
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and respond to on-call needs
