Hiring for Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse (ICU) in Springfield ,MA

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced ICU Float Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. The RN will float between Medical HVCC, Surgical ICU (SICU), and Intermediate Care (IMC) units and must be comfortable caring for high-acuity and critically ill patients.

PAY RATE
 $77/hour($43/hour W-2 taxable, $34/hour non taxable stipend) -$2772 total weekly for 36 hour/week 

Assignment Details

• Specialty: ICU / Critical Care RN

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Shift: Nights

• Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts

• Must be outside  90 mile radius from the  facility

Unit & Patient Population

• 32-bed Medical Intensive Care & Neuro Critical Care environment

• Patient ratios typically 1:2, or 1:1 based on acuity

• Float assignments may include:

  • Medical HVCC

  • Surgical ICU (SICU)

  • Intermediate Care (IMC)

  • Medical ICU

  • Neuro Critical Care

Common Cases

• Sepsis

• ESRD and AKI requiring CRRT/CVVH

• Post-cardiac arrest care

• Respiratory failure

• Neuro-critical care patients

• Other complex and critically ill patients

Requirements

• Active RN license

• Minimum 1 year of Level I ICU experience preferred

• 2 years of ICU/MICU experience preferred

• Strong critical care background required

• Previous experience caring for high-acuity patients

• BLS/BCLS – American Heart Association

• ACLS – American Heart Association

• NIHSS certification

Ideal Candidate

Looking for a strong, experienced ICU nurse with excellent critical-care skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to adapt quickly while floating between multiple critical-care environments. Candidates should be comfortable managing unstable patients and working independently in a high-acuity setting.

Note: Candidates with only one year of experience as a new graduate may not meet the preferred experience level for this assignment.
