Hiring for Dietitian in Syracuse , NY

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Dietitian to provide medical nutrition therapy, nutrition assessments, and individualized nutrition care for patients across all age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 8 Hours/Day, 40 Hours/Week

Pay Rate 

• Traveler: $3200 total weekly gross for 40 hour / week - $80/hour($35/hour W-2 taxable , $45/hour non taxable) 
• Local:      $3200 total weekly gross for 40 hours / week  ($80/hour)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments and identify malnutrition using established screening tools.
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition interventions and monitor patient progress.
• Provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition education/counseling.
• Recommend diet modifications, supplements, and other nutrition-related interventions based on approved protocols.
• Manage nutrition support therapies, including enteral and parenteral nutrition.
• Monitor nutritional status, laboratory results, and patient response to interventions.
• Document assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and follow-up in the medical record.
• Participate in patient care rounds, staff development, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian credential required.
• 2+ years of inpatient/critical care experience preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• CNSC certification preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to provide nutrition care across diverse patient populations.
