DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker International is seeking to hire a Highways Intern for the Summer of 2027. With multiple offices in Wisconsin, the successful Highways Intern will work under the direction of a Project Engineer or Project Manager in the Madison and/or Milwaukee, WI office supporting the transportation department with technical duties and daily activities. In this internship, you may also have the opportunity to work on-site under the direction of a Construction Manager assisting with and documenting construction inspection activities, researching and solving problems in the field, and assuring conformance to plans/specifications. 

We are seeking an Intern for the Summer 2027. 

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or similar program 
• Focus in Transportation Practice preferred
• Software proficiency – Microsoft Office
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong written/verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in organization and presentation of documentation

COMPENSATION
The approximate compensation range for this position is $24 - $27 per hour. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
